Murrells Inlet – Georgetown County Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects from a home invasion.
At approximately 9:01 p.m. on March 28, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Hammock Avenue, where two white males wearing dark blue or black masks, dark hoodies and dark pants, and armed with what appeared to be a handgun, forced entry into the victim’s residence.
The two suspects entered the residence through the back door and demanded money from
the victim. When the victim advised she didn’t have any money, the suspects exited through the back door. No one was injured in the incident.
The suspects fled into the woods behind the residence. The GCSO’s bloodhound tracking team responded on scene with negative results.
Sheriff’s deputies canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the suspects or witnesses. During the canvass, sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate anyone who witnessed the incident.
